Position Summary:
This position is responsible conducting training programs for clients and providing product demos for prospects. This role will be responsible for analyzing training needs, maintaining training curriculum and delivering courses.
The External Trainer will be responsible for reporting measurements of training needs and results, document training materials and continue to keep materials updated as training courses and programs change.
Essential Functions:
Providing client training for new, current and prospect clients as needed using screen sharing software
- Conducting trainings in person may be required in some situations
- Participating in designated client calling, scheduling and other retention oriented programs.
- May include participating in conducting branch-training sessions.
- Keeping abreast of software changes, major changes and trends in the PC industry, and changes in wage and tax law.
- Maintaining training materials for clients
- Formulate teaching outline and determine instructional methods such as individual training, group instruction, demonstrations, conferences, meetings and workshops
- Select or develop teaching aids such as training materials, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference works
- Develop strong relationship with all departments to coordinate appropriate client training and follow up and receive feedback
- Must be able to react positively to continued change and help lead the way forward to include new developments in training.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills are necessary to provide quality training programs
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as technical data, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Will participate in a wide-range of company projects and trainings
Non Essential Duties:
- Train internal personnel on Payroll software, Aux software, and Payroll topics
- Maintaining internal Policies and Procedures
- May include participating conducting branch-training sessions
- Special projects assigned by Executive Management
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned by management
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field
- Minimum 3 years demonstrated training experience
- Effective interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal with all levels of management, co-workers and clients
- Proficiency of Windows, Power Point, Word and Excel or similar programs required
- Leadership skills to effectively direct trainees while in a training environment and ability to properly evaluate comprehension and application of subject material
- Requires initiative, motivation, creativity and ability to understand many areas of expertise
- Must be customer service driven
- Proven presentation and facilitation skills
- Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to function independently in a multi-task environment, as well as part of a team
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other management staff, employees, customers, etc
- Pleasant and cooperative attitude with co-workers
Decision-making Latitude:
- Making decisions about training methods and schedules.
- Making decisions that assist clients and staff in getting their payroll done in the most accurate and efficient manner.
- Using independent judgment to build and maintain solid client relationships.
Working Conditions
The scheduled workweek is a 5-day workweek - hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with a 30-minute lunch break. Pre-Approved overtime may be required.
